“Embedded in the ‘anchored’ hinges of reality lies the individual’s dream, which carries the desire for immortality deep within itself. In my work, I deal with the mind’s demand for eternity and the collapse of the organic, the behaviors associated with this collapse, and the possible alternatives within existence. At the same time, the intersections and contact levels depict the focus of my interest: the existence between reality and dream; between the truth, which is able to be experienced individually, and the irrational.
In the static scenes of my paintings, the protagonists remain mostly resident between the glaring colorfulness of virtual realities and darkness, which is inherent in most of our dream sequences and memories. Both of these worlds are paramount due to their systematic character, which is connected to the simulative, and are projection surfaces of the human psyche.
Wishful thinking and nightmarish fears collide with equal power into each other and, directly through their contrasts, clarify the tragedy of man.”
