Thammasat University is Thailand's second oldest university. Officially inaugurated on 27 June 1934 at Tha Phra Chan on the Rattanakosin Island and on the Bank of the Chao Phraya River. The University’s founder, Prof. Dr. Pridi Banomyong, originally named Thammasat the “University of Ethics and Politics”, reflecting its primary mission to offer higher education in the disciplines of law and politics to the new citizenry and prepare Thai people for their new democratic system. Hoping to make higher learning accessible to all, Thammasat began as an open university with 7,094 students enrolled in its first academic year.

Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications (BUPT), founded in 1955. BUPT has 14 teaching units, three research institutes and one graduate school. Jinan University (JNU) is a public research and comprehensive university based in Tianhe District, Guangzhou, Guangdong province, China. It is one of the oldest universities established on mainland China tracing back to the Qing dynasty (1644–1911). Jinan University was the first university in China to recruit foreign students, and is currently the Chinese university with the largest number of international students.

Soochow University is located in the ancient town of Suzhou, also called "Paradise on Earth". The university is part of the national "211 Project" and is a "2011 Plan" university. It is also one of the Jiangsu provincial key comprehensive universities. It has grown from the former Soochow University founded in 1900. It now has three major campuses: main campus, Dushu Lake Campus, and the Yangcheng Lake Campus, covering an area of 2,705,000 square meters with a total building area more than 182 million square meters.

Chinese Culture University is located on Yang Ming Mountain, offering a high quality study environment – healthy, peaceful, and inspiring. The place of the hill on which it rests overlooking the Taipei basin had once been a nameless orange plantation. Chuo University commonly referred to as Chuo is a private flagship research university in Tokyo, Japan. Founded in 1885 as Igirisu Horitsu Gakko (the English Law School), Chuo is one of the oldest and most prestigious institutions in the country.
