The Art Academy of Latvia (Latvijas Mākslas akadēmija) is an institution of higher education and scientific research in art, located in Riga, Latvia. The neo-Gothic brick building is located on Krišjānis Valdemārs Street, next to the National Museum of Art. All the students of the Academy study traditional art techniques of the respective art area, specialize in the application of traditional and untraditional materials, as well as develop creative skills related to the use of modern media. They pile up experience in the implementation of art projects. Basic academic knowledge in art disciplines is acquired in the first four academic years. At the end of the studies students have to develop and present their diploma work.

The Jānis Rozentāls Art High School (Jaņa Rozentāla Rīgas Mākslas vidusskola, JRRMV) is a Latvian art school teaching the academic arts of drawing, painting and composition — as well as graphics and design. The art high school has its beginning in 1895, when the Latvian Painters Society established a painter's school. In 1928 the school changed its name to Latvian Painters Crafts Promotion and Relief Society Vocational School (Latvijas daiļkrāsotāju amatniecības veicināšanas un palīdzības biedrības aroda skola), which again was changed in 1944 to Riga Secondary School of Art (Rīgas Mākslas vidusskola), in 1946 to Jānis Rozentāls Art High School, in 1998 to Jānis Rozentāls Art College (Jaņa Rozentāla Rīgas Mākslas koledža), and finally 18 March 2002 to the current name.

Since then school has changed its name several times and developed other study programs. From 1st of September 2016 school is reorganized by combining two schools from music and art field, now running as Liepaja Music, art and design high school. Latvian republic Cabinet of ministers assigned for school status of Vocational Education Competence Center from 1st of January 2017. Saldus Art School (Saldus mākslas skola) is an art school in Saldus, Latvia founded in 1984. Approximately 130 students from the age of eight to sixteen attend the school after their lessons in contemporary school three times a week. Saldus Art school is an educational establishment. The seven-year curriculum consists of drawing, painting, sculpture, introduction to the language of art, composition and work with material. Students take part in nature studies - green practice in June every summer. They make their graduation pieces in the last semester of the 7th school year - wall paintings, ceramics, mosaics, paintings on silk, graphics and other artworks in public places.

Janina Miščiukaitė School of Art (Janinos Miščiukaitės meno mokykla) is a public art school in Jonava, Lithuania. Founded in 1965 as a music school, it added applied arts classes in 1982, choreography in 1992 and drama studies in 1993. In 1990, the school was relocated to the old town of Jonava. In 1994, the school received the status of an art school status and was renamed after Janina Miščiukaitė in 2009.

In his later works architect Feliksas Vizbaras created a modernist villa of quite expressive abstract shapes. Although the building can hardly be compared against prime examples of Western European residential houses of modernist aesthetics, in Lithuanian context, it was one of the most modern objects of its kind built in the temporary capital during the interwar period. Asymmetry, quite free structure, terrace, dark ledges and window edges emphasising its abstract geometry illustrate an easily-recognisable architectural aesthetics of that time. Since 1946 the building became an art school (now Kaunas Art Gymnasium).

The Aegean Center for the Fine Arts was founded in 1966 by Brett Taylor, and has been overseen by its director, John Pack, since 1984. The center is an independent, non-profit program located in Paros, Greece and Pistoia, Italy. Courses are offered in two semester-long sessions per year and include painting, drawing, photography, printmaking, creative writing, art history, literature and classical singing. The center accepts a maximum of 24 students into each of its semester programs. Taylor was both a painter and musician who gained a passion for Greece from one of his teachers at the Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia.

The joint efforts and hard work of thee first faculty members and staff resulted in the initial smooth operation of the Department, the erection of two building facilities, eqquiped with all the necessary apparatus and modern equipment. Also, the Greek market guild accepted the new specilisation, "Wood and Furniture Designer and Technologist", and the graduates od the Department found new new jobs, supported the enterprises and helped in the diffusion of new knowledge and capacities in the Greek market of wood and furniture production.

Over the last decade, the rapid technological developments in the field of audiovisual media, combined with pursuits of the modern art scene, have created a new field of expression and creation. In this framework, systematic education and training of professionals and artists in the field of Audiovisual Arts is essential. The theoretical and practical knowledge, however, required for the development of suitably trained people, however is provided in an inadequate way by the greek educational institutions that choose not to cooperate with each other in order to solve this educational gap. The Department of Audiovisual Arts was founded in 2004 under the EPEAEK programme, in order to cover this lack for the first time in our country. It is a hybrid Department where emphasis is put on the convergence of art and technology in research and teaching. The result of this interaction is in line with current international research data of digital culture.
