We begin looking at the world at an early age, as childhood is where the curiosity begins. Getting a camera when we are young allows us to practice with the constraints of making a photograph.
Nobody wakes up knowing that in their waking hours they may make one of the most meaningful images a human has ever seen. It is this unknown which drives me to make images.
To become a great photographer is an unbelievably difficult journey. Many try but startlingly few reach their goals. It has been said that photographers see everything, but becoming an all-seeing photographer is the result of years of practice. My art allows me to shoot film as it is my most familiar tool.
