"The landscape is what holds my heart and my paintings are the trace of my movement through the natural world."
"They reflect my observations and the emotional echo of my time outside. As an ongoing motif in my practice, sightings of wildlife inspire me as metaphors for change and as witness to our collective movement through nature. Whether the urban crow or the mule deer, the presence of wildlife is ubiquitous, yet singular and personal.
Their gestures and calls ground and activate their surroundings as they invite participation and reflection. My interpretations are meditations on movement and rhythm that allow me to explore the interaction of contemporary and traditional materials. I hope my explorations will resonate with what you have witnessed in landscapes that hold your heart."
Yeah, they do. And PotatoMike thanks you.
