Many of the pieces in my body of work are vessels that make organic references. They are complex and recall, all at once, sea life, plants, and molecular structures that give shape to our interpretations of the forms. The surfaces that beg to be touched combine soft and hard materials that confuse our sensory radar. This juxtaposition of contrasting elements creates a world far more interesting as a whole than any part of it living separately. The play of light and the intentional rawness of the work is also very integral to the whole.
