The Mongolian National Modern Art Gallery (MNMAG) collects, preserves and exhibits modern and contemporary Mongolian artworks. The collection serves an important role in documenting the social, historical and cultural evolution of Mongolia. In 1991, MNMAG separated from the Fine Arts Museum of Mongolia and became an independent organisation, dedicated to increasing public appreciation for Mongolian modern visual artworks. Open: Monday–Sunday, 10am–6:00pm.

976 Art Gallery introduces master artists and emerging talents of Mongolia. The Gallery offers a variety of services for private collectors, corporations and designers: hosting events to showcase featured artists and new arrivals as well as organizing cultural and educational programs. All the profits from the sales go for supporting activities of Mongolian Contemporary Art Support Association.

ACM was formed in 2002 by business, civic and arts leaders with generous support and initial funding by the Mongolian Foundation for Open Society (Soros Foundation) as a result of this. ACM believes that art and culture play a crucial role in both the social and economic development of Mongolia. ACM exists to ensure that the art and culture of Mongolia is sustainably developed, promoted and preserved, and we achieve this by carrying out activities in four program areas: Arts, Community Arts Education, and Cultural Heritage and Development.

Marshal Art Gallery

Situated within a luxury apartment complex on the north-eastern edge of the Khan-Uul District, the modern and stylish Marshal Art Gallery showcases the works of both local and international artists, alongside a programme of arts education and arts-related social activities aimed at promoting and supporting art creation in Mongolia. One of the most recent additions to Ulaanbaatar’s arts scene, the Marshal Art Gallery opened in May 2013. Within this short time, the gallery has exhibited artworks of home-grown talent, including internationally acclaimed Mongolian painter Bold Dolgorjav and young, up-and-coming artist B. Sodnomdarjaa. The gallery has also hosted, in association with Liu Dawei, artist and chairman of the Chinese Artists Association, an exhibition of contemporary Chinese art.

Art Gallery of Union of Mongolian Artists is founded on 1 January 1942. XanaduART gallery

Established in 2006, XanaduART gallery became the first commercial art gallery in Mongolia with a continuous exhibition schedule in a permanent space. The gallery has organized and curated exhibitions for a wide range of Mongolian contemporary artists, both established and emerging, working in painting, sculpture, photography, video, installation, performance and new media. Open: Monday-Saturday: 12 pm - 7 pm. Sunday by appointment.
