Sakoda Art Gallery was started as contemporary gallery in 2007. It is located in the Nishinomiya (near Kobe) area of Hyogo prefecture. The Kobe Art Village Center is a creative arts and culture facility established for the purpose of fostering young artists, building the newly opened area as a village of art, and revitalizing the town. A city that once supported Kobe's mass culture, a new opening place. "Kobe Art Village Center (KAVC)" opened in April 1996. Gallery Shimada celebrated its 35th anniversary thanks to all the writers and customers. Gallery Tohru and Shoure show art works that reconsider the diverse changing contemporaries from a new perspective. Architectural design is Naoko Horibe architectural design office. The exterior of the building is characterized by a large wooden door which is also a symbol.
