Mon – Fri, 12PM – 7PM

Conceived in a melting pot in order to captivate and diffuse art’s diversity within Brazil and the world, A GENTIL CARIOCA was founded 13 years ago, on September 6th, 2003, by its directors, artists Márcio Botner, Laura Lima and Ernesto Neto. We believe each work of art is a cultural particle with enough potential to irradiate culture and education. In the same way history can be thought, forged, documented and changed. A Gentil Carioca is a place where artistic or political contexts can be revitalized in many ways.

Artur Fidalgo galeria

The gallery allys two terms that seem contradictory: continuity and change. This biorhythm made of oposits, reveals in time the crystallization of a path: the renovation one. It is with this thought that Artur Fidalgo shows contemporary art more vital, from different generations and provenances of Brazilian artists. In the gallery, he displays works of Camila Soato, Danilo Ribeiro, Fernando de La Rocque, José Damasceno and Victor Arruda. The gallery motivation is the same as the pieces of art that it shows: go beyond the expected.
